Did you know that late winter is the best time to prune trees? Pruning live tree branches during the dormant winter months encourages vigorous new growth in the spring. Don't forget that trees on your property located in the public right of way (approximately 12–15 feet from the back of the curb) are your responsibility to maintain. But the city does have the right to trim or remove these trees for safety reasons.
