Pool Usage
Posted on Aug 20th, 2019 Comments (0)
To All BR & BV Residents,

Just a reminder that the pool is for everyone in the Community and should be taken care of by residents, their children, and their guests. We have had several instances of the bumpers being removed and the ladders being tampered with. This weekend, water balloons were found in the pool filters. All of these things add up to big expenses for the Community to remedy.
Residents - please watch your children at the pool.
Children under 14 should not be at the pool unattended.
Persons vandalizing pool property will be prosecuted.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

New Lenexa Golf Cart Ordinance
Posted on Aug 14th, 2019 Comments (0)
A new Lenexa City Ordinance went into effect on August 14th that defines some rules for golf cart owners and drivers. Golf carts are permitted on public roads where the speed limit is 25 miles per hour or less. The following regulations also apply when driven on public roads:
  • Golf carts must be equipped with headlights, taillights and brake lights.
  • The operator must have a valid driver’s license.
  • The owner must maintain insurance for the golf cart in the same amounts set forth for motor vehicles according to Kansas law.
  • Golf carts cannot be driven on public sidewalks, jogging paths, or other locations normally used for pedestrian traffic.
  • All traffic laws, including DUI and transporting an open container of alcohol, apply to the operation of a golf cart on a public road.
  • The number of occupants allowed on a golf cart is limited to the number of factory-installed seats. Bench seats are limited to three people.
  • The operation of a golf cart on private property requires the property owner’s consent.
Common complaints we've received about golf carts include:
  - Unlicensed juveniles operating them
  - Golf carts being overloaded with passengers (usually juveniles)
  - Golf carts being operated recklessly
The Lenexa Police Department asks that all regulations pertaining to golf carts be followed for the safety of the operators and passengers.

Bristol Ridge and Bristol Valley Pool Rules
Posted on May 15th, 2019 Comments (0)
The Bristol Ridge and Valley (BRBV) pool opened on Saturday, May 25th. Please review this document for the complete set of rules for pool use.
To help assure all pool users have a safe and pleasant experience it is important we all adhere to the pool rules.
Keep in mind the pool is utilized by residents of all ages, but especially young children. It is our responsibility to respect each other and to help assure that the experience is both safe and pleasant. No illegal, noxious or offensive behavior and/or loud music is acceptable.
It is a Johnson County Health and Environment regulation that no food or drink be consumed within 4 feet of the pool edge. They periodically stop by the pool unannounced and they will close the pool if this regulation is being violated. If you bring food and/or refreshments into the pool area it is your responsibility to make sure that all of your trash is picked up and deposited in one of the pool deck trash containers.
The bathroom trash containers should not be used to discard food, dirty diapers or other non-paper trash. The Deffenbaugh containers or the containers on the pool deck should be utilized for those purposes.
The pool is for the exclusive use of the BRBV residents and their guests. It is our responsibility to assure that unwanted guests are not using the pool. The pool area requires a code to enter. The new code can be found under Documents, Pool Communications. Under no circumstances should the gate be left open.
The pool will be patrolled after hours and any violators may be prosecuted.
Let’s all do what we can do to make this summer’s experience at the pool one of the best.
-  Pool Open Daily: 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM
-  All persons using the swimming pool shall shower
before entering.
